All the teachers were very appreciative of the program with comments about the efficacy of such training programs which they suggested ought to have been given to them much earlier. One of the participants even said that before he sat in the program he had misconception that it was a purely religious program that included bhajan, and talks on the teachings of Bhagavan Baba. But later he found the program highly educative; relevant to the present context and so very useful. The program came to an end with mangal aarati by the District Education Officer, who was also the chief guest. Spiritual and Service Name of the Event Date(s) of Event (DD/MM/YYYY) Mahashivaratri Celebrations 7-Mar-16 No. of SSIO Volunteers Involved No. of Non Members Involved  No of People Served/ Attendees 300 50 508 Activity/Event Summary: Maha Shivaratri was celebrated on 7 March 2016 by Sai Centers throughout Nepal with the usual devotional fervor.  Most of the Sai Centers kept an all night vigil by performing non-stop akhanda bhajans for 12 hours starting at 6 PM and continuing until 6 AM of the next day. Every year, more than half a million devotees both from India and different parts of Nepal throng the Pashupatinath temple on this auspicious day to pay their homage to Sri Rudra.  The temple premise is crowded neck to neck on the day and devotees often queue for hours at an end to catch a glimpse of the Shiva Linga, the Sanctum Sanctorum. The SSIO Nepal organized public bhajans in the premise of temple on an eve of Shivaratri where 400 devotees participated on the devotional singing.SSIO Nepal conducted the medical camp and water distribution at Pashupatinath temple. During the medical camp, a team of 40 members including doctors and paramedical staffs provided service to 508 patients. Out of 19 patients, who were diagnosed with cataract, were provided with free treatment in an eye hospital. Similarly, One patient diagnosed with hydrocil (psyllium) too was provided with free treatment on a later date. Water Distribution consisted round the clock serving by 250 volunteers to the devotees standing in a queue hours together to have a glimpse of the santorum. The talk was focused on Life and Message of Bhagavan Baba; the importance of Service and the Service Projects of Nepal. Two hundred people witnessed the exhibition and attended the talk program. Training Name of the Event Date(s) of Event (DD/MM/YYYY) Education in Human Values 8-9 March 2016 No. of SSIO Volunteers Involved No. of Non Members Involved  No of People Served/ Attendees 133 Activity/Event Summary: The training on Sri Sathya Sai Education in Human Values was organized on 8th and 9th of March at Bijubar, Pyuthan district of western Nepal (Region 6) where 133 teachers of both government as well as private schools participated. The program was inaugurated by the District Education Officer of the district. She sat all through the program and was highly appreciative with the contents of the training program. One of the participants, who was also the principal of a school, said that he felt himself very fortunate to attend the program. The other participant said that the training will be fruitful when all the teachers will be able to implement the teachings learnt during this period in day to day life. He also said that if the teachers will be successful in practicing values in and outside school they will be able to produce children with human excellence. The program came to end with mangal aarati by the District Education Officer. Service Name of the Event Date(s) of Event (DD/MM/YYYY) Laying Foundation for Children Home 10-Mar-16 No. of SSIO Volunteers Involved No. of Non Members Involved  No of People Served/ Attendees 22 150 Activity/Event Summary: On Thursday, 10 March 2016, at 10 am the chairperson of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Nepal performed bhumi pooja and laid foundation stone of the building of Sri Sathya Sai Bal Seva Griha, Bharatpur, Chitwan. The Seva Griha has been running in a rental premises and is currently sheltering 17 girl children. The land is donated by a young Sai devotee in memory of his late mother, who was very keen to help the children.  The land is close to the present rental. The neighbours too were very happy to find the Bal Seva Griha in their locality and they have decided to name the street as Sai Marga (Sai Lane).  The program, attended by 150 devotees and local people, came to an end with the mangal aarati of Bhagavan. Out of seven regions divided, office bearers from 3 regions attended the program. The events were organised as a workshop to provide orientation to the new office bearers from sai centers, devotional singing groups, regions and national council. Each Orientation program was for 2 days. The talks/ workshops in a program covered topics such as “Organization and our responsibility”, “Organization operations” and “Organizations policy and programs for 2016″. The project will cater potable water to 56 households in the region. In the event of inauguration, bhajans were sung folllowed by Narayana seva where approximately 200 indivuduals part took bhagwan’s prasadam. The society faces an acute shortage of water, chaotic government school with poor infrastructure and livelihood of struggling low class citizens of a nation. SSIO Nepal has adopted the village and school as a part community service and has been rendering service in school with stationeries and scholarships to students.On 8 Feb 2016, SSIO Nepal conducted following programs:
Distribution of  Desk & benches to school (classroom furnitures) –  65
Laying of foundation stone for Sathya Sai Community Hall and water project catering to potable water to 192 households and a community school with 700 students.

The talks also culminated activities undertaken by SSIO Nepal. The chief guest of the programme, a district educational officer from Nepal governemnt after attended the entire program and remarked amidst various professional courses, values have lost the essence and what society is deprived today is the skilled personals with clean heart and good character. He highlighted the role of values to create a harmonious society and advised the participating teachers to start integrating values in their respective lessons immediately.
